Amazon Prime payments explained

When you applied for a Prime membership with Vitality, you set up a Direct Debit with etika Finance UK Ltd for £7.90 each month for a maximum of 10 months.

You’ll pay either £0 or £7.90 per month, depending on your monthly activity.

To have your membership contributions fully funded by Vitality, you need to earn 160 activity points every month and stay with us for the entire purchase period.

If you do not earn 160 activity points in a month, you will pay £7.90 for that month, however any activity you have earned will carry forward into the next month.

If your plan renews mid-month this will not interrupt your monthly activity points being tracked, and will not impact your Amazon Prime Contribution.

Monthly direct debit payments are taken on 19th of each month.

For example...

Stanley took out the Prime membership reward in March (first month), with £0 to pay upfront.

In April (second month), he’s tracking his steps on an activity device and is earning Vitality activity points. At the end of April, he’s earned 160 activity points. We apply the points he’s earned in April, so he doesn’t have to contribute £7.90 in May (third month), because Vitality pays it for him as a reward.

In May he only earns 100 activity points. In June (fourth month) he contributes £7.90. The 100 points he earned in May roll over to June.

In June, Stanley earns the remaining 60 points he needs to reach 160 points for this month, and so gets his Prime membership reward in July (fifth month). He carries on earning 160 activity points a month, so he doesn’t make any further contributions towards his Prime membership for this year.

Tracking your activity points towards Amazon Prime

You can see a detailed breakdown of which points count towards your reward on the Vitality Member app. To do this, tap Rewards and then tap on the Amazon Prime tile.

Alternatively visit the Amazon Prime page on your Member Zone to see the breakdown. To do this, click Get Rewarded and scroll to see the Amazon Prime tile. Your points contribution will be shown here.

If you believe there is an error with your points contribution, try the to see whether there is an issue with your activity.

If that does not work please use the ‘Report Missing Points and Rewards’ button in the Member Zone or Vitality Member app.

Cancelling with Vitality

If you cancel your Vitality plan or leave your company scheme, your credit agreement will continue with etika Finance UK Ltd for the Amazon Prime membership.

As you won’t be earning Vitality plan points, your monthly Direct Debit payments will switch to the maximum contribution of £7.90 per month for the remaining period of your credit agreement.
