Claim for prescriptions and minor diagnostic tests
To claim for prescriptions and minor diagnostic tests:
We'll need a copy of your prescription or diagnostic test, along with the receipt and your full name and plan number.
If your claim is approved we’ll reimburse you from your Primary Care benefit within 10 working days. We’ll send a message to your secure inbox on the Member Zone to let you know when your claim has been paid. Please make sure the bank details are updated in the partner benefits section of your Member Zone account.
You can use your £100 Primary Care benefit to cover the cost of prescriptions for acute medical conditions, or a short course of therapy e.g. antibiotics.
What the £100 benefit doesn't cover
Repeat medication or long-term treatments e.g. statins for high cholesterol, or anything prescribed to you in the past month.
Any over-the-counter medication, travel vaccinations* or medications. For example, malaria tablets; supplements or medical foods, including infant formulas.
The GP can still issue a private prescription for any of the medications listed above. However, you can't claim the cost back from Vitality Health.
We don't pay for minor diagnostic tests that are not ordered by Vitality GP, or a private GP in our network.
*However, you may have benefit for this if you have Worldwide Travel Cover.
