The Primary Care Benefit

With the Primary Care benefit, you can get reimbursed for the costs of minor diagnostic tests referred by the Face-to-Face GP, as well as private prescriptions prescribed by either the Vitality GP or Face-to-Face GP.

You can claim up to £100 per person per plan year, and there's no excess to pay when you claim from this benefit.

Following your consultation, the Vitality GP or Face-to-Face GP can issue a wide range of private prescriptions. If the Vitality GP has given you a prescription, you'll be sent an email and text from Clynxx, Livi's pharmacy partner, which includes your prescription code. You'll then have the option to have the medication delivered to your address or you can collect the medication from your preferred pharmacy using this code.

You'll need to pay upfront for prescriptions from the Vitality GP, as well as for any minor diagnostic tests or prescriptions prescribed by the Face-to-Face GP.

Claiming from the benefit

To be reimbursed, please follow these steps:

  1. Pay for the medication or minor diagnostic test yourself and make sure you get an itemised receipt.

  2. Email a copy of your receipt (and the referral for the minor diagnostic test from the Face-to-Face GP, if claiming for a test), along with your plan number, to VitalityGP@vitality.co.uk or send it to us by post at Vitality Health PO Box 617, Darlington, DL1 9FF.

  3. Clearly state in the email or letter that you’d like to be reimbursed from your Primary Care benefit.

If your reimbursement is approved, we’ll refund the policyholder from your remaining balance within 10 working days. Please make sure the policyholder's bank details are up to date on their Member Zone.
