What is the Health Advice Line?
Speak to a healthcare professional anytime, day or night
The Health Advice Line is a hotline for 24-hour medical advice from a clinical advisor.
You can call if you’re feeling unwell, need some medical advice, or you’re unsure if you should visit a GP.
Call our Health Advice Line on: 0345 279 8856*
Please note that the Health Advice Line cannot help with questions about claims or plan details.
*The Health Advice Line is not available to members living in the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. Members living in these locations can access virtual GP appointments by calling 0345 602 3523 (opening hours Monday to Friday: 8am to 7pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm).
What the Health Advice Line can help you with
Our clinical advisors can advise on symptoms and guide you on what to do next.
You can speak to our clinical advisors at a time to suit you. There’s no charge and it’s completely confidential.
You can call on behalf of a family member too, but they need to be aged 18 or over. They’ll need to be covered by your Vitality plan and live at the same address as you.
When not to call the Health Advice Line
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, do not ring the Health Advice Line. You should call 999 or go straight to your nearest A&E.
If you have questions about a new or existing claim, plan information, or the Vitality Programme, do not ring the Health Advice Line. For these questions, contact us on 0345 602 3523 for support with your health plan. This line is available Monday to Friday 8am to 7pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
If you require a private prescription or onward referral, do not ring the Health Advice Line. You can book a virtual GP appointment with one of our Vitality GPs or speak to one of our Face-to-face GPs, who can refer you for further treatment or prescribe as clinically appropriate.
