Google Fit in 2026
Google is phasing out Google Fit and will no longer support direct app connections through it. This means that Google Fit will no longer sync with the Vitality UK app, so we won’t be able to award points from this source from early July 2026.
What you need to do
1. If you used Google Fit to track your steps (via your phone):
We recommend switching to a free step-tracking app by July 2026 such as:
Google Health, or
Samsung Health
These apps can track your steps and, when you link them to the Vitality UK app, mean you can continue to earn points.
2. Connect Health Connect for your activity apps:
Health Connect is a free app that brings together data from supported fitness and wellbeing apps. You should install Health Connect for sharing data from the following apps:
FIIT
Peloton
Headspace*
Once Health Connect is linked to your Vitality UK app, your activity from these apps will continue to earn you points.
