How do I book a Vitality Healthcheck?

If you would like to book a Vitality Healthcheck you will have to book this through the Member Zone. To book:

  1. Click Get Rewarded

  2. Click on the tile Vitality Healthcheck with Bluecrest

  3. Click Book your Healthcheck

  4. Once you've read the terms and conditions and are happy to give consent click the boxes

  5. Click Book Healthcheck

  6. Choose if you would like an in-person healthcheck or an online healthcheck

  7. Follow the onscreen instructions on the Bluecrest page to book your healthcheck.

Please note that Vitality Healthchecks are not available for children or anyone under the age of 18.

Online healthchecks

If you have chosen to book an online Vitality Healthcheck, you'll receive a home testing kit in the post.

The kit includes:

  • a blood test kit to measure your cholesterol and glucose

  • a paper tape to measure your waist circumference

Please do not complete any tests until your appointment. If you do, your Vitality Healthcheck will not be valid and you'll have to pay for another one. If you’re a smoker, please avoid smoking a pipe or a cigarette one hour before your Vitality Healthcheck.

The Bluecrest clinician will also ask you for your weight and height to calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI). Make sure you have taken these measurements before your appointment.

Your clinician will guide you through your glucose and cholesterol blood tests. They will also record your weight, height, and waist circumference.

Your blood pressure will not be taken during your online appointment. This means you will not receive Vitality points for blood pressure.

Healthcheck kit

If the kit for your online check has not arrived four days before your appointment, please contact Bluecrest on 0800 652 2104. They will either reschedule your appointment, or arrange for a replacement kit to be sent to you.

You should also contact Bluecrest in the unlikely event any of your kit is missing. The kit contains a leaflet which explains what kit should be included. They will arrange for a replacement kit to be sent to you if anything is missing.

Similarly if the envelope isn't sealed, call Bluecrest to request a new kit is issued.

In-person healthchecks

You’ll receive full details of any special preparation instructions by email when you book your face-to-face Vitality Healthcheck.

You can continue to eat and drink normally before your appointment. We recommend you continue taking any prescribed medication and ask that you drink plenty of water to stay well-hydrated.

If you’re a smoker, please avoid smoking a pipe or a cigarette one hour before your Vitality Healthcheck.

Cancelling and rescheduling

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you need to ring Bluecrest on 0800 652 2104 and give them your booking reference number.

Please give them at least three working days’ notice, so they can reschedule the appointment. If you don’t attend your appointment, then you may be charged a total of £15 to cover the costs of the appointment.

If you booked an online appointment, you can’t get a refund once a home test kit has already been posted to you.

If you booked your appointment before your cover ended, you will not be able to attend your appointment. The healthcheck appointment date must be prior to the cover end date.
