How does the Headspace benefit work?

Join Vitality

Buy a qualifying plan, then register to become a Vitality member.

You’ll qualify for the Headspace app benefit if you are an adult member and you have one of the following Vitality plans:

  • Health insurance

    • Any private health insurance plan

  • Business health insurance

    • Any small business health insurance plan

    • Any corporate health insurance plan or trust scheme administered by Vitality

  • Workplace Wellbeing

    • Any Vitality at Work plan

  • Life insurance

    • Any life insurance plan

Get your Headspace discount code

Once you've registered on the Vitality Member app, generate your Headspace discount code inside the Vitality Member app. Eligible members will receive a one year subscription. The benefit is limited to one discounted Headspace subscription per adult member, per plan year.

To do this in the app:

  1. Tap Get Healthier at the bottom

  2. Tap the Take action tab at the top

  3. Scroll to Stress Less

  4. Scroll and tap on Headspace

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions under the How to sign up

Sign up to Headspace

Go to headspace.com/code and enter your discount code. From there you'll be directed to log-in or register, and complete the checkout process for your subscription. You can only apply your discount code on the Headspace website - not via the app.

Earn points

Connect your Headspace and Vitality apps to earn Vitality points for meditation.

Just complete 10 continuous minutes of mindful activities on Headspace a day*. This includes guided meditations and breathing exercises. You cannot earn points for Sleepcasts or Soundscapes.

You can earn two Vitality points a day for completing 10 mindful minutes, up to a maximum of six Vitality points a week.

*Mindful minutes need to be enabled in Apple Health to earn points. Google Fit has this automatically enabled.

You can see these points on your Vitality points statement. They won’t show on the home screen of the Vitality Member app as they don’t count towards Active Rewards if your plan is eligible.

Points you earn can take up to 48 hours to show on your points statement.
