There are several actions to ensure optimal performance and reliability when it comes to sharing data with Vitality from an iOS device. If you require support with some of the actions below, click on the additional guidance.

Background Refresh - Ensure this is toggled On in your mobile settings. This allows the Vitality UK app to fetch new data when the mobile is not actively in use.
Health Access - Make sure the Vitality UK app has Read access to the necessary data types in Apple Health. Toggle all of the data types to On.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi - Apple Health syncs data via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Keep these on to ensure timely data delivery.
Open the Vitality UK app - iOS will deprioritise background tasks for apps that are rarely opened. Opening the app tells iOS that it's still in use. We recommend that members open the Vitality UK app every few days.
Low Power Mode - If Low Power Mode is switched On, background syncing is reduced. This includes Apple HealthKit syncing. Turning it Off, in your mobile device settings improves background syncing.
Battery - Where possible, aim to keep you battery percentage above 50% for the best results.
Motion and Fitness - Ensure both the Fitness Tracking and Apple Health options are toggled On in your mobile device settings.
App Switcher - Ensure the Vitality UK app is kept within the devices App Switcher. If you force quit, by swiping if off screen, this stops all background processes.
