We understand that serious procedures can lead to unexpected costs. That's why we offer a hospital cash benefit to members who stay in hospital for at least two consecutive nights due to an eligible condition, when it's clinically necessary. This applies whether you choose to have the treatment done via your plan or the NHS.
One-night stays and day-patient admissions are not eligible.
A two-night stay qualifies for a £500 payment.
Three nights qualifies for £750, and
Four nights qualifies for £1,000.
What documents do I need?
You will need to submit your discharge summary (or other equivalent documentation) from the hospital showing their reason for admission and the admission and discharge dates.
How do I submit a claim?
To claim your hospital cash benefit, please email us your discharge summary (or other equivalent documentation) to info@vitality.co.uk, clearly stating in the subject line you would like to claim on your Hospital Cash Benefit.
What happens next?
We'll contact you within 72 hours once a decision has been made or if we need any more information.
