We understand that serious procedures can lead to unexpected costs. That's why we offer a hospital cash benefit to members who stay in hospital for at least two consecutive nights due to an eligible condition, when it's clinically necessary. This applies whether you choose to have the treatment done via your plan or the NHS.

  • One-night stays and day-patient admissions are not eligible.

  • A two-night stay qualifies for a £500 payment.

  • Three nights qualifies for £750, and

  • Four nights qualifies for £1,000.

What documents do I need?

You will need to submit your discharge summary (or other equivalent documentation) from the hospital showing their reason for admission and the admission and discharge dates.

How do I submit a claim?

To claim your hospital cash benefit, please find the relevant claim in your recent claims and select Request hospital cash benefit. You'll need to upload your discharge summary and give further details about your hospital stay before you submit your claim.
