How do I calculate my maximum heart rate and earn activity points?
If you're using an eligible device (including Apple Watch, Garmin, Samsung, Polar, and Fitbit) you can earn activity points for workouts measuring your heart rate (HR).
How do I earn points using my heart rate?
The activity points you can earn depends on your workout averaging at 60 or 70% of your maximum heart rate. Here's how to calculate it;
Your maximum HR x 0.6 = 60% of your max HR
Your maximum HR x 0.7 = 70% of your max HR
Points are awarded as follows:
5 points | 30 minute workout at an average of 60% max HR |
---|---|
8 points | 60 minute workout at an average of 60% max HR |
8 points | 30 minute workout at an average of 70% max HR |
How do I calculate this?
The calculation is simple:
220 - your age = your maximum HR in beats per minute (bpm).
For example, if you're 40 years old; 220 - 40 = 180bpm.
