How do I earn points?
There are multiple ways to earn Vitality points.
Some of the ways you can earn points include:
Tracking your steps or heart rate using a partnered activity tracker
Completing a Vitality Healthcheck
Signing up and attending a WeightWatchers Workshop
Signing up and working out at selected Virgin Active, Nuffield Health or PureGym gyms (if you have an eligible plan)
Activity points
Vitality activity points are earned by completing activities like your daily steps, workouts and attending an eligible gym.
For a workout to earn you Vitality activity points, it must record your heart rate (or calories, on selected Garmin devices).
Activity points are subject to daily and weekly limits. You can earn a maximum of 8 Vitality activity points per day and up to 40 Vitality activity points per week.
We’ll award points for only one exercise activity per day using an activity tracker. If you were to do more than one activity in a day you’d only receive points for the one that earns the most points.
Fiit, Peloton and gym points work a little differently. Points earned from these activities will stack in addition to tracking an activity on an activity tracking device.
For example, working out at the gym and walking 7,000 steps in a day would combine to earn eight points for that day.

Understanding and managing your Vitality points
Vitality points are different to Vitality activity points. Activity points are awarded for exercise and count towards your Active Rewards. They are capped at 8 per day and 40 per week.
Vitality points do not have a weekly or monthly cap as they are not based on physical activity, but certain activities do have a cap on how often you can earn Vitality points for doing them.
You can earn Vitality points by:
Creating your Health Profile
This is available to complete on the Vitality Member app. You get 100 points when you create your Health Profile. You also get 100 points for updating your Health Profile every plan year after that. However, you won't earn any extra points for updating your profile more than once in a 12-month period.
Online non-smoker declaration
This is part of the Health Profile. If adults confirm they are a non-smoker in their profile they are awarded with 100 Vitality points.
Health check non-smoker declaration
This is checked within a Vitality Healthcheck. If an adult is confirmed to be a non-smoker during the healthcheck, they are awarded 200 Vitality points.
Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose
Taken as part of the Vitality Healthcheck or results from a GP, all adults can earn 60 points for each of the above metrics taken once per plan year.
If the results for these metrics are within the healthy range, you can earn an additional 60 points for each metric.
Fitness assessment at a Virgin Active gym
All adults can earn 60 points for having their fitness measured once per plan year via a fitness test (YMCA Step test). You can also earn 60 points for having your BMI and blood pressure measured. If your results are within our healthy range, you can earn an additional 60 Vitality points.
Mindful points
All adults can complete 10 or more continuous minutes of mindful activity per day to earn two Vitality points for that day, up to a maximum of six points a week.
Our mindfulness partner is Headspace. Points earned from mindful activity will not count towards our Active Rewards.
